2014 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Specifications, Features and Pricing Revealed

Suzuki Hayabusa is a well known bike as it used to be fastest production motorcycle on road but then came the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R which thrashed Hayabusa’s hopes of retaining the title. In fact the Ninja ZX-14R beat the Hayabusa a couple of times on the track and Kawaski is extremely proud of that.

For the model year 2014, Kawasaki has revealed the revised version of the world’s fastest production motorcycle and without wasting anymore time let us start discussing the improvements. The most important update that has been made to the 2014 Ninja ZX-14R is to its monocoque aluminium frame which has been tweaked for a narrowed profile improving mass centralization, while being roomy enough to fit in the engine, airbox and filter. Kawasaki has also been able to squeeze in the battery in the same area and still it is easily accessible.

At the heart of the motorcycle is a liquid cooled, 1441 cc, four valve per cylinder, in-line 4, DOHC, engine that puts out a massive 200 bhp of max power. The engine comes mated to a 6 speed gearbox which features dual balancers for minimal vibrations, while the chain cover is coated in urethane for minimal mechanical noise.

Kawasaki has taken care of all sorts of riding conditions and that is evident with ZX-14R’s traction control system featuring three riding modes which the rider can switch to using a handlebar mounted switch. Other highlights of the ZX-14R include the modern slipper clutch, ABS brakes, adjustable suspensions and dual mode digital ignition.
