2014 Kawasaki Z1000 Photos and Video Leak Ahead Of EICMA

A couple of weeks ago a leaked image emerged on the internet as a proof of the 2014 Kawasaki Z1000. However, the image that was leaked lacked clarity and was not good enough to make us believe it was the 2014 model year Z1000. Now that the 2013 EICMA show is a few days away clearer images along with a video of the 2014 Z1000 have come out in the open.

Courtesy of Japan’s Mr.Bike, which got a chance to film the new Kawasaki Z1000. They shot the motorcycle in every possible angle and through the pictures you can get to know most about the motorcycle except the technical stuff.

What we get from the images, the 2014 Z1000 features more visual upgrades than technical upgrades. There are a lot many changes aesthetically which will be pleasing enough for customers but the big question remains, will the 2014 Z1000 get a new engine? Rumour is the new Z1000 could be powered by Kawasaki Z1000SX’s 140 hp powerhouse. Compared to the outgoing Z1000 which puts out 136 hp, it would be a mere 4 hp increase. Also, since these two engines belong to the same family it would be difficult to distinguish between them even if the 140 hp motor is already present in the pictures.

Also for 2014, Z1000 customers will get ABS and Kawasaki’s dual-riding mode system, along with a three-level KTRC traction control system. More details will follow the debut of the 2014 Z1000 at the 2013 EICMA show on November 5. So stay tuned for more updates on the motorcycle.
