Triumph Daytona 250 Motorcycle Spied In Germany

At the 2013 EICMA Show iconic British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph, presented the first image of the upcoming quarter litre bike. Though a sketch, the motorcycle’s design really was liked by us as well as others. Since then Triumph has been quietly working on the motorcycle which expectedly is a Triumph Daytona 250 which is confirmed to be produced in India.

Everything was under cover until recently when the bike was caught testing by Motorrad in Germany. Going by the images it was pretty much evident that Triumph did not deviate from the design it showcased at the 2013 EICMA Show and it indeed is a Daytona, and hugely resembles the Daytona 675.

There is very little known about the motorcycle except that it will powered by a single cylinder engine and will be put against current entry level motorcycles such as the Honda CBR300R, Kawasaki Ninja 300, and KTM RC200. Furthermore Triumph will not develop the Daytona 250 as a track-oriented machine and it will rather focus more on everyday use and practicality.

The motorcycle is expected to be revealed in 2014 as a 2015 model and production shall begin immediately. While it is confirmed for emerging markets like India, no official word is yet out on its availability in European and American markets, though we don’t find any reason to not bring this motorcycle to developed markets.
