2015 Lexus RC F Official Pictures Released: All Set For Detroit 2014

The 2014 Detroit Auto Show is a week ahead and Lexus is all geared up as it will debut the 2015 Lexus RC F at the event. With a couple of days left in hand for the final preparations, Lexus has released the official pictures of the 2015 RC F performance coupe.

The car is based on the all new RC Coupe that was showcased at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. However, compared to the same, the RC F is much more aggressive in terms of styling and happens to be the most powerful V8 performance car ever developed by Lexus. The exterior of the RC F is full of exclusivity and thus gets wider wheels and tires, an active rear wing, air scoops, cooling ducts and carbon fiber components.

At the front is the signature Lexus spindle grille features a single F-pattern running from the bottom of the hood to the lower lip. Since it is powered by a powerful, larger V8 engine, Lexus had to develop a flared bonnet that sits higher than it does in the RC Coupe. Furthermore, the car gets ducts beneath the front bumper, fenders and aerodynamic stabilizing fans.

At the rear of the car is a speed-sensitive active rear spoiler that takes its design cues from the Lexus LFA supercar, trapezoidal quad-outlet tailpipes, and more. The RC F will feature three unique 10 spoke, 19 inch forged aluminium wheels – one will be hand polished while the other two machine polished.

For the most part, the interior is identical to the 2014 IS but it does have its own unique things to talk about. The list includes performance bucket front seats, Lexus-first elliptical cross-section thickgrip steering wheel, and a gauge cluster which is reconfigurable. The seats will be available in five leather trims with contrasting stitching. In short, the cabin is identical yet a bit different.
